Quiksilver is known for their boardshorts which are made 100% out of recycled materials. Their aim has always been to design products that are not only performative, but healthier and more sustainable for the environment. Since 1999, Quiksilver has actively worked towards improving their collection and environmental ethics surrounding their services and goods. As of 2018, Quiksilver partnered with Repreve to source out recycled materials to be used for their collection and by 2020, they’ve collected over 200 million bottles which were used to create their products. Now, Quiksilver has a wide range of products from boardshorts, wet suits , surf accessories, snow jackets and more. Following up the success of Quiksilver, Roxy was later introduced in 1990 as Quiksilver’s women’s line collection; and their success was immaculate. It became the first of its kind for a women’s line to be offered by an authentic surf brand to hit the market; prompting other surf brands to follow suit. Roxy’s women’s boardshort is a staple piece from their collection as it offers flexibility and fit while looking feminine for women.
